The evening buffet
The buffet runs every evening from 5pm and it’s the centrepiece of dining at De Mer — a large spread of seafood, crab, shellfish, grilled meats, and Thai dishes, with live music through the evening.
The main choice is how you eat it. Load up from the prepared dishes, or go Moo Kratha — Thai barbecue-style, grilling your own meat over a charcoal pot at the table with a broth simmering around the edge. If you’ve never done Moo Kratha, it’s forgiving: adjustable heat, no rush, best eaten slowly. À la carte dinner is available too, if you’d rather skip the buffet entirely.

Our Bar
One bar on site gets you two resorts’ worth of use. De Mer sits alongside The Toy Beach Resort with shared bars and pools between the two, so guests at either property can use both freely.
The bar itself is a wooden tiki cart on the beach promenade, not a building — there’s no fixed seating, so you take your drink and find a spot on the sand or a nearby lounger. The list stays simple: piña colada, mai tai, mojito, cosmopolitan, tequila sunrise, blue hawaii, whisky sour.

Breakfast
Breakfast runs Thai and western side by side. The Thai side has a spicy basil seafood stir-fry with squid and fish cake, and a slow-simmered rice porridge with shrimp and crispy garlic. The western side has a clear pork and cabbage broth, sliced ham, and a live egg station cooking to order.
There’s also a bakery counter with toast and Thai patongko, a salad bar, and a fruit station with watermelon and Rayong pineapple — the fruit the area’s actually known for.
